Monique N. Armstrong-Land is from Fairfield, Ca. She is a recent communications major graduate from California State University Monterey Bay. She is currently a Pre-Masters student in the Speech LanguagePathology program at the University of Vermont. She was a student researcher with California State University Monterey Bay Undergraduate research center, where she worlds under the mentorship of Dr. Heather Haeger to try and understand and identify the barriers that prevent students from participating in undergraduate research. Before this, she has also worked for UROC (undergraduate research opportunities center) as a Summer Intern, alongside Dr. Carla Fresquez completing tasks including but not limited to organizing research communication resources in an online format for CSUMBSTEM research partners, and electrophoresis. She is also a consistentDena's list recipient and a member of the National Honor Society of CSUMB.In her free time, she enjoys spending time creating art, reading, watching horror movies and spending quality time with her three younger sisters, partner, and three dogs.
